Circulating tumour DNA in Advanced Anal Cancer

Scientists have found that they can detect tumour DNA in the blood stream of people with advanced anal cancer. In the future this blood test could be used to predict response to treatment and whether a recurrence is present. Currently, this is only available offshore and in a research setting but may revolutionise treatment follow up.
